Good location -- great staff!
Alan Nov 16, 2009
We were in Buenos Aires for five nights picking up our daughter from a study abroad. The hotel is on a relatively quiet ... street a couple of blocks from Santa Fe Ave. and from the Alto Palermo mall. Lots of lovely bakeries nearby. The staff was kind and attentive and bent over backwards to make our stay delightful. They arranged our transportation to the airport and lined up cabs for us (the later was especially helpful when the subway workers went on strike for two days during our stay). The hotel has a definite European feel -- small elevators and small bathrooms -- which required some adjustment for two Americans out of the country for the first time. But the place was spotless and always looked fresh and inviting. Doubt if we'll ever be back to B.A., but if we do, we would stay there again!

Two recommendations: (1) Take the Buquebus ferry for a day trip from Buenos Aires over to Colonia Uruguay. Colonia is a quiet, historic, beautiful village that is a great break from the hustle and bustle of B.A. (2) If you're a Rotary Club member don't miss the Belgrano club's barbeque night!!

Terrific hotel and employees
Traveling Traveler Mar 3, 2009
Our hotel was clean, roomy and the employees made us feel welcomed. The breakfast was good. The kitchen in our room was ... great for storing cold drinks, washing fruits we purchased at the market, etc. We didn't have enough time to cook, but the facilities to do so were available. The location was perfect---a few blocks away from the subte. We walked to the Recoleta cemetery and feria on Sunday, took the subte everywhere and went on a Tigre River tour that the front desk arranged for us and others who were staying there. We loved this hotel.

On Sundays around 7:30 pm, Carletto's Italian restaurant in Puerto Madero puts on a tenor show that lasts around 2 hours. You can eat or have drinks or just sit and pay a cover charge OR just stand by the canal railing and watch/listen for free.

Great Hotel, Great Lcation

Ayers De was very nice and modern. Our rooms were very spacious and had a kitchenette. We received a very nice breakfast ... tray delivered to our room in the mornings. The location was great, very close to Recoletta, Aveue Santa Fe, and Florida Street. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. I would definately stay there again.

Satisfied lodger
Michael Jul 2, 2008
The apartment that I stayed in at Ayres de Palermo was totally new and had every convenience that I could have needed. At ... almost 500 sq.ft.it was more than I needed. With so many good values and quality at Argentine restaurants, I didn't take advantage of having a full kitchen. The only exception that I would note is that the elevator was right outside the door (I mean literally right outside the door. I would open the door to the apartment and it was immediately to the right.)So there was some elevator mechanical noise that was heard throughout the night. But the bedroom area was far enough within the apartment that it won't probably wouldn't be an issue by a sound sleeper. I would recommend though that you request an apartment away from the two elevators. Aside from this point, it was a pleasurable and highly recommended place to stay. Go to San Telmo on Sunday and Palermo Soho any day for shopping. Enjoy a wonderful parrilla dinner.
