I am not sure all my comments will be posted so I will only say that I do not recommend this hotel. The hotel is nowhere near ... the airport as advertised. Be ready to shell out some serious cash for the airport shuttle.

Fine Hotel in a so-so location

The BCN Hotel itself is beautiful and appears to be well-managed. However, the wireless high-speed internet was so slow it ... was unusable. I would not recommend it for business travellers until this is improved. The location could be better. Other than the new Anec-Blau shopping center up the street there is nothing much within walking distance for a shopper and a scarcity of restaurants or other businesses. The airport shuttle is NOT complimentary like in North America. Maybe this is typical of Spain but we weren't prespared for the 40euro round-trip transfer for 2 (Plus mandatory 7% tip).

great Hotel choice for Barcelona

Would recommend to a friend!

We choose this Hotel at the end of our cruise in Barcelona. It was close to the Airport and they offer a shuttle for 10 euro ... each. It was gorgeous, just like the pictures, ultra modern, beautiful pool, nice coffee bar, the resturant looked great but we didn't eat there. We took a short walk and were at a fabulous modern indoor mall which was completely open on a sunday. we continued walking and visited the outside of the Castelldefel and the Center of Town. Take the other direction and we were at the beach. My only complaint was the brand new beds there were uncomfortable and they slipped up on the wake up call which could have cost us our flight home. But they were very helpful to correct our shuttle ride, give directions and very nice and kind to everyone.

Don't worry that the hotel looks bland from a distance; once you get to the entrance it is a modern, professional hotel with ... an inviting lobby. The room was large and clean, and the decor was reasonably stylish. The fixtures were functional but worn; the bed was a bit harsh by American standards. The refrigerator was a high efficiency type which cools things below room temperature but not to the level of actually being cold. The air conditioner was modern and effective. Internet access in the room was through an unsecured wireless network with very poor signal strength - maybe it would have been stronger in the lobby, but I didn't try it. The pool was great, but sometimes noisy due to traffic. The TV had one channel in English (CNN International). The front desk staff all spoke English quite well. To reach the train station, head northwest past the mall, continue across the bridge over the train tracks, then turn southwest on Av Constitucio. Walk for several blocks through a section of Castelldefels full of restaurants and shops, and the train station will be on your left.
