We could have stayed at the hotel the whole day and been happy...the beds were so comfortable...the view was awesome...the ... pool area was the best... but we had to venture out to Catalina Island. Great for a one day visit. Lots of sun and boating. Ate at Spago in Hollywood and Stephen's in Santa Monica. Both were to die for! Hotel location was central to everything. Loved it! Nightlife was sensational. House of Blues, Whiskey a gogo

I walked to Beverly Center from the hotel which was about a mile down La Cienega. Stopped in at D.O.G. and bought some cute little outfits for my dog. Lots of little shops, restaurants, etc in various price ranges along that path.

I come out to LA once a month for business and have tried various West Hollywood hotels. This is my favorite and will be ... staying there again. I brought my teacup poodle and they were very kind about it. Free wifi that was not slow or full of ads and pop-ups, huge room, modern, super clean. I loved the lobby area and how they had a table with laptops making reception very approachable, it reminded me of the Apple store. Right on the strip near food, clubs, shopping, and unlike most SoCal folks I was able to walk everywhere. Only downside is I had a street facing room and there was street noise so if that bothers you, make sure to request a room towards the back.

The check in was seamless we were greeted at the door and offered a glass of wine while checking in. The roof top pool is ... fabulous great view of the city. Beds and sheets are comfortable. the experience was very nice and the staff was friendly and profesional. I will stay here again.

Pros to hotel: Staff was very friendly when we arrived at hotel. Every evening after 5pm there was wine tasting (no charge). ... Everything in the stocked mini bar in our room was free, excluding alcohol. Rooms were very clean! Some of the cons were: Lighting in bathroom needs improving! too soft for women to put on make-up and do hair. You don't want a room near the elevators, they will keep you up at night. Great location, near food and supply stores, if you would forget to pack something. Lots of bars with out door patios and clubs walking distance!

This hotel is amazing! It stands out above any other I've seen and the rates were great, especially for what we got. The ... roof-top pool is by far the deal-maker... gorgeous, relaxing and one of the BEST views!!!! I did not want to leave. The complimentary (in room) water, soda and snacks are great - no store runs needed. Location, location, location! Walking from bar to bar on the Sunset Strip allowed us to drink freely and not worry about transportation. (Something not easily done in LA) The staff was extremely welcoming (from check-in, to maintenance, to house keeping, to the wait staff) For what looks like a posh place, it was refreshing to have a staff that was friendly and unpretentious. Our room was on the 4th floor facing the Strip and it was perfect. I was afraid it might be noisy but the way the rooms are designed, with the beautiful sunroom, the street noise was blocked and I slept peacefully every night. I did see a room on the same floor on the opposite side of the building and their view was of the parking garage and had no sunroom, not as ideal! The only thing that didn't make sense - if we get complimentary non-alcoholic beverages in our room, why not at the pool? And, a PS... there is an 18% gratuity added to any order at the pool and it was unclear exactly who it went to... the bartender, the guys who are preparing the food or both?? Daily valet parking rate is $28 - pretty much standard for LA hotels. Complimentary use of computers in the lobby came in handy. I HIGHLY recommend The Andaz West Hollywood!

My daughter and I were looking for a happy, relaxing vacation, and the Andaz was way beyond our expectations. The room, the ... service all of it made us feel like royalty! The sunroom in our room overlooked Sunset Blvd that was awesome. I can't wait to go back!

My daughter lives in W. Hollywood, so we know the area well. This hotel is perfect for a visit to L.A. Close to shops, ... restaurants, spas, etc. The staff are so well trained and courteous at all times. We only dined at the hotel for breakfast, but it was terrific. The coffee service in the mornings is also first-rate. The room was so quiet - it's really hard to believe that one is right in the center of W. Hollywood. Gorgeous view, too! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would go back in a heartbeat.

starting the day with a few shots of complementary fresh espresso in the lobby, then heading for a tough hilly run in the ... Hollywood hills, followed by an excellent work out in the hotel gym then ordering pool side food and drinks on the rooftop was such an awesome experience that I did not want to leave the hotel property. The parking at the hotel was an extra expense I did not think about in advance, but the service and room was so pleasant, I did not mind. The staff gave us excellent recommendations for shopping, restaurants and clubs to hit for the weekend.
