Barely Worth The Price
Go Utes Aug 24, 2009
OK for just needing a place to sleep and located near the center of town. Rooms looked old but room service was good and ... helped hide the discrepancies. The free breakfast consisted of a bowl of cold cereal, OJ or coffee, and milk from a gallon jug. Good cable TV. Pool was a joke. Staff was always sleeping behind counter.

Friendly, clean, and service-oriented
Walter Aug 11, 2008
Though not really that convenient to public transportation like the Trax or a convenient bus to downtown, it is only a short, ... inexpensive taxi ride to there and back. I was there for a trade show and they shuttled guests free in the mornings to the convention center on their own dime. Quiet and comfortable. Great bed, pillows, and matresses usually found only at more expensive hotels. Friendly staff.

Not Exactly America's Best
Robin Jun 14, 2008
America's Best Inn & Suites was affordable compared to other hotels, but did not live up to its title of being the best. The ... first room assigned to us was found to be open and not cleaned yet for our arrival. We did get an upgrade due to the first room not being ready. In our second room, there was a huge (10 inch diameter) hole in the bathroom counter that someone had earlier damaged and was not replaced. The internet service on the computer in the registration area was convenient and the staff were hospitable. Breakfast was lacking with white bread, cornflakes, and apples. You definitely have to drive a couple of miles to get to the center of the tourist areas/main street from this location.

Squatters Brewery for local beers, the SLC Farmer's Market for strolling along for food and crafts Saturday mornings from mid June to October, Temple Square if you're interested in the Mormon faith & history from their perspective.

Ski Trip stay
Roy Jan 25, 2008
Standard modular hotel room, with comfortable bed and adequate bathroom. Adequate storage space for clothing. Hotel offers ... free wireless; delivered one day out of three, since server appeared to be down (PC in the foyer didn't work much of the time either). Decent location in a shabby commercial area, close to downtown and very convenient for access to highway for Park City and Alta resorts. Basic continental breakfast -- drinkable coffee, good donuts and fruit. Good Korean restaurant nearby -- real hole-in-the-wall place, but good food and nice owner. Only fast food places nearby otherwise; lots of restaurants to the north (try Biaggi's for good Italian).

I was there on Sunday and absolutely nothing was open in downtown. But if you drive towards university, there were many places open for dinner.
