Hotel from HELL
TIRED MOM Oct 6, 2009
I traveled to Arizona because my new freshmen at Northeren Arizona University was sick, and I needed to see her.My husband ... booked the hotel as usual, and randomly picked this place. Unknowingly, he picked the one place that the "family" had picked to NEVER STAY there based on the look alone. It was disheartening that we were right. When I went to complain, I was insulted, and spit at. I was accused of just not wanting to pay.I called the front desk at one in the morning and asked how to turn on the heater not once but twice.I am a very intelligent person and I could not get the heater to work. This was just the beginning to a fast decent into HELL. I was told I should have come out side( while the police was arresting a transient in the parking lot, with no lites at one in the morning, with outside hallways to the front desk. Some how this did not make sense to me,and I knew my husband would definitely disapprove, since it was just females there. My dressing was delayed due to no plug in the bathroom or even close to it. The toilet seat being broken took the comfort out of relieving one's self. The shower curtain missing hooks, just made me happy my boys were not in attendance. The missing WIFI was very upsetting to my college graduating daughter who was with me.I prayed when I pressed "0" it was not the outside operator. The missing info, on when check out was, later told to me was missing because people steal it.(I was expected to just know when check out was) until I asked for a refund, then I was passed check out time.It just kept getting worse. [...]I was going to call the police and file an assualt charge for being "spit" at,and being called "stupid".I just needed to leave.I called the Flaggstaff Travel lodge and asking could we check in EARLY,just to have a place.

We just needed a place to stay for the night while traveling. The bed was uncomfortable, the bedspread looked like it had ... never been washed, the shower had no regulator (ran hot then cold), and the tub took an hour to drain. We were afraid to walk barefoot in the room. However, the sheets appeared to be clean :)

Slightly scary hotel experience
Alexis Road weary traveler Jul 30, 2009
My husband and I were on our way across the country in our move California and we needed somewhere to stay last minute and we ... needed somewhere pet friendly...so I booked this hotel with three things in mind...close to the interstate...pet friendly (no restrictions)...and price. Well for the price we paid we expected that it would at least be safe...well the parking lot was scary and there were many disreputable looking people loitering around the parking lot...then when we checked in there was a pet fee that was not mentioned and it had restrictions that could have been disatourus for someone with a big dog...the rooms smelled bad and there was a window in the bathroom that didn't lock...the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the whole place felt like something out of a horror movie...not to mention that the hotel was very far from the interstate. I would not recomend this hotel to anyone traveling through flagstaff...if I would have known I would have bypassed this area and pushed on to the next town.

upset customer Jul 26, 2009
This motel was one of the worst one's that we have stayed in for a long time. Very noisy people. Not very well insulated. We ... thought the ceiling was going to fall on us. I would not recommend this motel for anyone to stay in, and it should be taken off of the web-site.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in!
TH Jul 26, 2009
This hotel was hands down the worst I have ever stayed in. Light fittings falling off the water, sheets did not fit the bed, ... bath towels so worn you could see day light through them, you had to pay to get ice, no control over the A/C, the list goes on for ever.

bad area, scary people
unhappy traveler Jul 9, 2009
We checked in at 1pm. we were told the room wouldn't be ready until 4pm. we went to lunch and came back at 3:30. The room was ... still not ready. On our way back to the room we passed by 5 scruffy men standing in the middle of the street, they stared us down as we passed by. When we parked in front of the room which was on the 2nd floor three other men came out of one of the down stairs rooms and stared at us as we went up the stairs. There was a women sitting on a side table which she had dragged out of her room into the middle of the walkway and was talking on the phone. As we passed her she made a lewed comment about my outfit. When we got to the room the door was wide open presumably to air out the room, it smelled gross, and the beds and bath were not finished. we decided to go to the store down the street to get room freshener until the room was ready. On the way we were again watched by the men in the street. Needless to say we felt uncomfortable staying there. We decided to check out and get a room elsewhere. We were told that we could not have a refund eventhough we were never in the room and we were told that they had no control over the people they rent to. We still went elsawhere.

Stay Away----Far, Far, Away.
Cindy May 25, 2008
No towels in the room, no towel holder, no toilet paper holder. A roll of toilet paper with about 12 sheets left and no ... replacement. Towels were available to be picked up and they were more like a loofah than a towel. Sheet thin and raggedy with the surface of sand paper. 2ft X 3ft in size. Broken glass on the Wall Art with broken pieces inside and who knows where the rest of the glass was. Walking by some rooms you could see the newspaper that was used as insulation sticking out of the holes in the entry doors.

FIRST OF ALL, THE STAFF WAS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL WITH DIRECTIONS TO GET TO THE HOTEL. WHEN MY FAMILY AND I CHECKED IN WE ENDED ... UP PAYING AT LEAST $10+TAX MORE THAN ESTIMATED. THE OUTSIDE LOOKED RUN DOWN. OUR DOWNSTAIRS NEIGHBOR LOOKED TO LIVE THERE FOR SOME TIME THE ROOM AT FIRST GLANCE WAS DECENT. WHEN WE STARTED UNPACKING THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH TOWELS, AND THE TOWELS WE HAD NEEDED BLEACHING. THE FLOOR HAD A COUPLE OF HOLES. THE BEDS HAD HAD CRUMBS FROM THE PEOPLE BEFORE
