Much better then the reviews

I have to admit that I was nervous to stay after reading all of the reviews on many sites. The price was great and as ... expected. There was a slight smell, but I had read the reviews and I brought lysol and febreeze sprays. There was some construction going on one of the days i was there, but they are remodeling. Over all it was pretty quiet for Vegas and I was able to relax.

The place wasn't as bad as the other visitors made it out to be, not for us anyways. The only thing I hate is the ... advertising scheme they use, but all hotels use it. Advertised price = $35 per night. Actual price = $44.20 Why don't all hotels ad in tax and "surcharge" in their ads? Tax is 12% =$4.20 + $35.00= $39.20 + $5.00(surcharge)= $44.20. Other wise, the place had a funky smell to it, not stink but different and a little unpleasant at first but most can get used to it. Overall, It is what it is, a cheap motel that nobody wants to go to Motel 6 is way better. I'l probably never go there again

This is probably the worst Vegas trip ever of my 10 times staying at a Vegas motel. Very trashy! I't smells like something ... rotton was killed there. Motel 6 is an oasis compared to the Americana 5 Inn. I'm completely honest, DON'T STAY THERE!

I booked the room from the Orbitz with $29.99/night, but when I got there, the price went up to $59.99/night. That's really ... bad! Had to find somewhere to stay after driving about 600 miles. I'm also afraid to do business with Orbitz AGAIN.

I had a reservation and when I came there last saturday she told me my reservation wouldnt go, because its labor day weekend ... and they cant give me a room for so less money...if I pay more money they will give me a room,otherwise I should go to another hotel.So I went to another hotel/motel...very unfriendly!!!

I mainly needed a room for one night until my room on the strip became available, so I booked a night here. The location was ... not bad at all (walking distance to Mand Bay and Luxor), but it was definitely in a "shady" area just off of the strip. I was only there at night, but based on the noise (throughout the late night), I began to suspect that the area was a haven for illicit activities. I even had people knock on the door around 1AM! Also, I was getting ready to take a shower, and noted that the towel in the room was soiled with something brown. It really wasn't a pleasant experience...next time, I'll just spend another $30 for a better place.

This Hotel should not be rated a 3 star Hotel. It was dirty. Mold every where. They supplied us with one towel. the pillows ... were flat. It was a roach motel. Really gross and I will pay more next time to stay else where.

It wasn't much of an experience. Room was dirty, sheets were dirty and room was small. Police warned us to not stay at the ... hotel because of criminal activity occurring there. do not stay at this hotel, regardless of the price.
