Great honeymoon
C Man Jul 19, 2009
This was a great resort - we enjoyed ourselves very much. The one downside was how expensive it was to get to the nearest ... town to do some shopping (Rodney Bay or Castries). A one-way taxi ride would cost $12-25 (USD). There were no local public buses we could have taken. On the other hand, if we had stayed at Almond Morgan Bay, we could take local buses ($1-3 USD) to both Rodney Bay or Castries or beyond. So plan accordingly, and sometimes it's best to ask your tour driver if you can do some shopping before you head home. Most drivers are very nice and very willing to help.

Do not waist your time!

There was not much to do as some of the water sports equipment did not work such as the Bananna boats the whole time we were ... there. Wake up calls were missed which delayed us for breakfast and most upsetting the morning we were to leave we were never given a call till the shuttle bus arrived to take us to the airport. Also there were ants in our bathroom and also the bed which I received a couple of bites from. So don't waist your money or time at this resort.

Almond Smugglers Cove was a decent stay. We had your typical standard room. Room was average size. Bathroom was average ... size. Don't waste your money on pool, garden or ocean view. Not worth it. Food was not the greatest. No top shelf liquor to be had either. Just stick with the rum punch. Pools were clean and there were always chairs available. You got to get there early to mark your spot if you wanted an umbrella though.

Shopping was available but you needed a cab. Bring lots of money for cabs because the resort doesn't give you free shuttle services
