Addar Hotel is an exclusive family run boutique hotel owned by Jerusalem's oldest and best known family. The historic 19th century building was completely rebuilt as a hotel with the highest standards in 1997 retaining the original entrance and facade.
Since its opening, the hotel has attracted the most sophisticated travellers. Recent visitors to the hotel include the former Irish President Mrs. Mary Robinson, Israeli Parliament Speaker and members, Palestinian Prime Minister Abu Ala and foreign ministers from various countries. The hotel is often chosen as the home of various Ambassadors and Consul-generals.
Addar quickly became the city's most desirable address. Addar offers the largest-sized hotel rooms in the city, all with balconies and/or French windows. The hotel is located in one of Jerusalem's most exclusive areas, within walking distance to the city's main attractions. Most European and American consulates are within walking distance. One side of the hotel is on Nablus Road (the main road leading to the Old City) and the other side is on St George's Street. The Old City Walls and Gates are 100 metres away.
