FREE daily hot buffet breakfast all year long. Come stay at 9 Beaches and you will do the unexpected Bermuda.
The unexpected Bermuda? You bet. But, hey, this is Bermuda so you will still be in for a first class vacation experience. Here's a preview of what you'll find at 9 Beaches, one of Bermuda's newest resorts:
Comfortably chic soft-sided cabanas feature ceiling fan, air conditioner, window screens, wooden floors, and French doors that open to furnished verandas that face the sea. Queen Size Bed plus one pull-out Futon sofa bed, a table and chairs, bathroom with toilet, sink and shower, mini fridges, beach towels, coffee maker and hair dryer are also provided. Each cabana features a complimentary Bermuda cell phone, pre-programmed with numbers for hotel services.
Water sports galore - more than any other Bermuda hotel or resort. Kayak, snorkel, sail, windsurf, take a scenic tour, go fishing or try your hand at scuba or snuba.
Take your pick of beaches - it has 9 beaches (at least!) to choose from, definitely among the most gorgeous Bermuda beaches with beautiful turquoise water.
What's that? You're Type "A"? No problem. Its Wi-Fi service will let you check your e-mail anytime at any of its Wi-Fi hot spots at the Resort. Download and cool down at the same time. Didn't bring your laptop? No problem. Got you covered with two Internet stations, which are free of charge.
Each soft-sided cabana feels very open with lots of windows and French doors that open to a spacious veranda facing the water. Window screens keep Mother Nature out while ceiling fans and tropical off-shore breezes help keep you comfortable inside. For those of you who need an extra dose of cool, air conditioning is available in all cabanas. Now some folks have called our rooms "luxury tents," however we prefer to call them cabanas. Up on stilts, ocean views, air conditioning, small bathroom and more make these way too cool to be called tents. Cabanas it is! The cabanas are incredibly sturdy structures with aluminum frames and double walls of an extremely durable space-age soft-sided sailcloth-like material proven to withstand high winds. Just so you know, the roofs are also made of this same soft-sided sailcloth-like material. We have it on good authority that at night when it rains, the sound on the sailcloth roof is oh so romantic. But then again, you be the judge.

Laid back, ocean, quiet, great food
Lucy Nov 7, 2009
This was so different due to our individual cabin being right in the water, on stilts. You heard the wind and water all ... night which we loved. Felt like being on a boat, without the rocking. Views were magnificent, all the "9 beaches" were secluded coves, each very nice with great views. Drinks and food were very good. We went to relax and stayed at the resort for most of the time, just what we needed and wanted. Staff was most helpful, friendly. Cabins are not spacious but were clean. Furnishings are cute, boat-like, not luxurious, but fine. I want to go back and would recommend this to people who do not want luxury like the big hotels, but want ocean, air and surf - nature's luxury!

Location great-cabana needs maintenance
kd Oct 7, 2009
The desk staf were knowledgeable and helpful, the beaches are great, restaurants serve good food, good bar, fun place, and ... the main area is clean & looks great. However the cabana porch door showed rust stains as did the windows, the canvas showed (evidence of) mold, burn holes, not all the ties for the shades are there. The cabanas have a rundown look inside. I liked seeing the birds and lizards while dinning on the porch; however it was uncomfortable to see a rat and mice. The views are spectacular and they have all kinds of water equipment. A great place to relax. Try not to get a cabin near the abbatoire.

A neat hideaway for couples or the whole family. The canvas cabanas are very cool. If you can get the aquavista, top banana ... or paradise pier units, you will be right on, or over, the water. They have a bunch of (9) small, private beaches. However, if you are used to 5 star amenities, this might not be for you. It totally outdoors and very laid back. Excellent watersports options are right on site as well.

My husband and I went here for our first wedding anniversary. The staff was very friendly and the resort is very clean. Our ... first impression when we went into our cabana was positive! The cabana itself was so cute and cozy. The views were excellent. We were very excited when we saw it! We stayed in an aqua-vista cabana that was located right by the pier cabanas. I would recommend the aqua vista cabana and up! The ones on the land did not seem as nice (views) and I would also recommed staying away from the public beach area of the resort. Please keep in mind this not a five star hotel and does have a camp ground feel to it. If you do not like camping than this resort is not for you! Otherwise the breakfast was great as well as the dinner! Staff is very helpful and we did also use the ala cart service which was great!

I would recommend a scooter, they were great to get around the island with. We asked the front desk in the early afternoon and the company was out in 10 minutes to pick us up.

Very close to nature.
Bob V. Aug 28, 2009
Understanding that these are cabanas and not a 5 star hotel, you have to appreciate the location, views, small close beaches, ... and a laid back informal experience. There may be some bugs, lizards, frogs very close by. Bathroom is tiny and not very private, the room can get hot (even with AC and ceiling fan on),and cabana can make noise at night if windy. But if your looking for a casual unique experience, you wont be disappointed. They do offer a nice restaurant, good free breakfast, a nice pool, nice bar, water activities, secluded small beaches, nice service and fantastic views. There is a dairy farm adjacent to the property, and you may hear cows, and if the wind is right(or wrong) you may smell them also. It all adds to the charm. Ive been to Bermuda a few times (to the fancy hotels) and I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere this resort creates. I will stay here again.

Indeed unexpected, killed 10 cockroaches
The Lewis' Aug 7, 2009
This was the worst trip, we have had in years. The bedspread had blood stains on it. The room was unbelievably hot every ... night. There was an air condition malfunction, which did not work properly at all the entire time we were present. The air condition blew, but did not blow cool air, that was indeed unexpected. There was no TV, we could deal with that. After the rain, all the cockroaches came out to play. We killed at atleast 9 cockroaches, which had gotten into our suit cases and 1 was crawling on the wall of our suite. I could not and did not sleep at all, because I was unexpectedly put on (cockroach duty) afraid, watching and thinking that a cockroach was going to get into bed with us, or that one would crawl into my nose or eardrum. The beaches made the whole trip worthwhile for us. You have so much to offer, while not spend a little money to upgrade the aircondition system and invest in a good exterminator company to exterminate every so often, you would make more money adn gain more guest. To have an aircondition system that did not work, to have cockroaches and a dirty stained bedspread and rugs REALLY is something I did not expect.
Traveler type: Family
The house cleaners could clean the showers and rooms a much better. The shower had dirt in the crevices of the tower in the bathroom shower. The rugs on the floors were extra dirty. The rugs were dirty with various stains and spots. After each roomer(visitor),the entire bedding should be changed, including bedspreads, pillar cases, sheets and floor rugs. Considering the amount of money each guest pays. These amenities should be clean for each new guest arrival.

My Finace and I had a great time at 9 Beaches. Bermuda is a fabulous Island and this Hotel offered great value. it was also ... nice to be away form the main section of Bermuda. While some may see this as a negative we saw this as a psoitive. We were in the sea forever cabana and thought all of the staff were fabulous. Our stay was for 4 nights and we spent most of it within the resort. We did rent a moped for two days and toured around to Hamilton and other sites. It is very resonable and great way to see the Island. If you want to go out to Hamilton to eat every night then staying here is not practical as the taxis into Hamilton are about $50 each way. While we did go to Hamilton one night (via moped) we found some very nice places near by to eat including the hotel itself. Lunch was great at Dark N Stormy's or just odering food to where you are sitting at the Beach. While some of the 9 Beaches are small it does not present a problem as people seem to disperse among the 9 depending where your cabana is located. The only negative is that when a Cruise ship is in town they come to 9 Beaches for its great snorkeling and take up a good number of the beach chairs. Finally, while the hot water was an issue for two people it was not a big deal. However, they can use some improvment to the air conditioning. Overall, I would definitly stay there again if going back to Bermuda.
