Beautiful on the outside

Robert, Durham/Raleigh, NC, 2007-02-11

Just a short drive to Broadway at the Beach, Nascar Cafe, Planet Hollywood, and Barefoot Landing.

The Crowm Reef Resort is very beautiful on the outside but the rooms were pretty typical of most other hotels. The hotel, rooms, and all of the amenities were exceptionally clean and the upkeep is also exceptional. The pools and lazy river are among the very best in Myrtle Beach.

Great View!!

Anonymous, Detroit, MI, 2006-10-20

There are some satisfactory gentlemen's clubs close by I highly recomend for a fun night out on the town.

Not a bad hotel for the money. Every room has an ocean view and a nice belcony. The only thing I found to be non satisfactory is the check situation. The front desk is located across the street and makes checking in and out very dificult. The parking garage is very tight as well. I would hate to see it during peak season!

Adequate Facilities

Anonymous, Columbia, SC, 2006-06-15

The location was great and the pools were nice although there were a couple of the hot tubs that were not functional. For the price I would have expected the room to be a little cleaner. We never received maid service and had to request towels be brought to the room. The layout of the hotel was a little disjointed and the on-site dining facilities were fairly non-existent.

very disapointing

The outlets are awsome!

The Crown Reef hotel was the worse hotel I've ever been too! The customer service was awful! I had a lot of complications with checking in to the hotel. The manager did not want to speak with me to address my complaints. Personally I would never reserve a room at the Crown Reef ever again and I would never recommend anyone else I know to reserve a room there.

A little pricey but good place to stay

Anonymous, 2006-05-29

Damon's is right beside the hotel. Very good, nice staff.

The room was pretty clean. The view from the balcony was beautiful. It was biker week so it was a little noisey at times... But, overall we would stay at this hotel again. It seems to be the perfect place to take the kids. Great pools and it is way down on the strip so it isn't crazy. It worked out overall.

A Pleasant Surprise

Joseph, 2006-05-28

Crown Reef was very cozy. The exterior was breathtaking at night! The rooms were clean, the balcony was carpeted and it had table and 2 chairs for enjoying a meal. There was so much to do- indoor and outdoor pools, lazy river, gift shop, lounges, and restaurants. The hotel is located on the quieter end of the Myrtle Beach strip. The walls were a little thin, but we went during Bike Week so people were a little rowdy. Checkout was painless, just one call to the front desk and we were on our way. This is by far a great hotel for families!

Great Location

Jodi, 2006-05-21

Angelo's Italian restaraunt was a great hit. The food was excellent and the prices were great. If you go, the rolls and salad are excellent, but you will have a hard time picking a main course as too many good things to choose from.

For our needs during bike week, the hotel was in a great location. Close to everything we wanted see, but yet not in the center of it all which is a good thing. The rooms where basically clean. The staff very helpful and friendly. The walls are a little thinner than I would personally like, but if you crack open your door to your private balcony and listen to the ocean it blocks the rest out. The pools were very pretty and in the morning if you got up to see the sunrise you could also see the staff getting ready for the new day with the pool cleaning and putting things back in there place. This is a very busy week in Myrtle beach, but the Crown Reef was keeping up. Just to mention also, the beds were comfortable and the linens were very clean. I would stay there again.

Great vacation resort

Dora, Greenville, SC, 2006-04-23

Most all of Myrtle Beaches attractions were within a short driving distance and we went to several. we enjoyed Dick's Last Resort, Dixie Stampede and Studebakers. The food was good at all of them and the entertainment was great!

The Crown Reef Resort was very nice. The room was large and had all the amenities(fridge, microwave, stove, ironing board and iron, all the the things needed to cook and eat in our room, and it included a table and 4 chairs and a safe for our valuables if needed). The Oceanfront view was wonderful looking out from our private balcony. all of the staff was very friendly and courteous and was more than happy to help us with everything that we needed. We even recieved a travel mug that allows us to get coffee for 15 cents at different places in several states. :) There were 2 restaurants in the resort as well as a bar and also 24 hour room service. There were 22 pools including indoor and outdoor as well as a lazy river and several saunas and hot tubs.I would highly recommend this resort to all of my freinds and we plan to stay here when we come back to Myrtle beach next year.
