Take advantage of the hotel's big kitchen. Stop by one the the nearby Wal-mart and grap the things you need. Do you own cooking and save lots of money

We stayed in a one-bedroom unit. The room is very nice and clean. The location is very good as the hotel is close to everything. We were disappointed with the pools. The pools were not heated very well. Also, the hotel claim that they have lighted tennis courts that open until 11:00pm. But when we want to borrow equipments to play tennis at 7:00pm, we were told that the equipment rental shop is closed and were not given any reasons why they closed so early. If you want a nice and big place to stay after a day at the parks, this is a nice place to come back to. But don't count on using any of its services.

YOU ARE 5 MINIUTES FROM MANY ATTRACTIONS AND MALLS. MY GANG LOVED THE GOLDEN CORRAL WHERE THE STEAK WAS DELICIOUS. THE GUARD AT THE GATE WILL DIRECT YOU ANY OF THE ABOVE AND MORE.

OUR ROOM AT THE STAR ISLAND RESORT AND HEALTH CLUB WERE COMFORTABLE, CLEAN AND ROOMEY. I WAS SUPPRISED TO FIND THE BATH WAS ALSO A JACUZZI! THE REFFER, SINK AND DISHES AND MICROWAVE WHILE SMALL, WERE A NICE TOUCH WHICH WE MADE USE OF. THE LOCATION IS BOTH EXCELLENT AND VERY SECURE, IDEAL FOR THOSE WITH YOUNG CHILDREN.

Great hotel in Orlando

Very pleased with the hotel as it had lots of nice ammenities. Room was fantastic. Only problem was the smoke detector battery was low in the bedroom and it beeped most of the night.

Good value for the money

For about the price of your run-of-the-mill hotel in the area, we had a clean, modest room (the mini-suite) with separate bedroom, bathroom and living room which afforded my husband and I plenty of room to get ready. The grounds are lovely and the sink/microwave saved us money by having breakfast in the room. If you decide to order from the T.G.I.Friday's, I recommend picking it up, as they add an 18% gratuity and the hotel also adds another 18% as a service fee (which they don't tell you about). Overall, the place was nice, though next time, I'd upgrade to the room with the king size bed and jacuzzi. Also, the place is centrally located--close to everything.

Great location but out -of -date decor!

There is a Publix (grocery store) about a two-minute drive away & there is a TGIFriday's right at the entrance to the resort. There is no shortage of shopping or dining opportunities nearby.

The size of the condo was very nice but the furnishings were straight out of the 80's in the blue & mauves of that era. The decor sorely needs to be updated. We were told this was a 4-star condo. Though the resort probably is....this condo surely isn't. As we were only there to visit Disney World & Sea World, we didn't have the time or energy to test the amenities of the complex. As our stay did not include maid service, we can't comment on that. The proximity to shopping, dining & area attractions was excellent with a car. For the cost of this stay, we feel we overpaid.

There are many restaurants on this strip . There are alot of choices when it comes to dining.

The Star Island Resort and Health Club, KISSIMMEE, FL was indeed a great place to stay . I was impressed on how clean the room was. My 1st stay was on Thursday Jan 31,07 and when I arrived I check in office was very friendly. I have traveled to florida with in the past year over 5 times and I must say I must say that I was impressed this Resort is beyond a doubt a 4 star resort. The bathroom was extremely clean as well as the other room. I stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. I must say that the balcony view and night time was beautiful. I enjoyed the warm relaxation feeling on how cozy the suite was set up. The manager had looked up and noticed that I previously stayed there just 2 days before and said to me we will accommadate you no quetions asked. That in my book is Excellent CUSTOMER SERVICE BY THE HOTEL ITSELF BY MAKING THE CUSTOMER HAVE A GREAT EXPERIENCE WITHOUT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT ANY INCONVEINCE . When I visit Kissimmee again I would rebook this same resort again.

Everything is nearby. If you looking to eat, shop or even entertainment, it's all within a short driving distance.

The stay at Star Island was pleasant. If you have small children, it's the perfect place for your family. They host several activities during the day and evening to keep the family entertained and happy. The room was spacious and the location was ideal if you plan on visiting Disney and Universal. A good dilemma: too many places to eat and too much entertainment that it was difficult to decided where to go, what to eat, and on what day. Only concern is that the resort charges for changes of towels and for room cleaning. Big concern if you're staying with little ones and they only provide three bath towels for the one bedroom unit. We did have a complaint regarding the air conditioning and it was immediately addressed (within 1/2 hour). We were moved to another room without any fuss. Great customer service and extremely friendly staff. They were also informative and kept us up to date considering that our visit was disrupted by the threat of a hurricane.

Short drive to Disney attractions.

We enjoyed the large spacious rooms and it was nice to have a washer and dryer in the suite. Pool and spa were also very nice.
