Most recent user reviewsScore 2 out of 5 My review of Hawaiian Maingate Inn Sandra, Milwaukee, WI The hotel is in the process of renovations and all of the maintenece staff kept hitting on my 18year old daughter and her friend. They could not go anywhere, including the pool without an adult or they were harassed by the maintenence staff. We lost alot of money in the soda machines, hardly any of them worked. There was no ice in the ice machines, we had to walk to each one to find ice. The rooms had a peculiar odor and we had to buy candles to stand the smell. Score 4 out of 5 Staff was helpful John, Pittsburgh, PA If you are going to Disney World you are only a couple of miles from the entrance. The hotel offers free shuttle service to the park at regular intervals. Its a time and money saving pllus. The staff in ths hotel was friendly and helpful. However, the overall quality of the rooms was on the lower end. The matress had seen better days. The toilet stopped up on the first use. The floor felt like it was falling through. If you are looking for a very inexpensive place to sleep than this is the place. If you plan on spending any length of time in the room you should look elsewhere. On the plus side is its location to all the major attractions. The hotel was very easy to find. The specials were good. There was also a restaurant there with an all you can eat breakfast that was good, inexpensive, but busy. The hotel is large, somewhat dated, and inexpensive. However, the location is close to Disney World and the hotel operates a shuttle from the hotel. All guests are charged a small fee for this service. The rooms were fair. It is a good location if you don't rent a car--many restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. Parking was readily available. However, if you are looking for a newer, classier hotel, have a car, and are willing to spend more money, this is not the hotel for you. Score 4 out of 5 Its alright Anthony, Norfolk, VA, 2005-08-04 Just a few minutes from SEA WORLD and DISNEY WORLDFirst of all the picture on the web was completly different from the way the hotel really looks. Second their were ants all over the place. All over in the room and I was staying on the second floor. And the covers smelt funny. I was OK because I had brought my own. Score 1 out of 5 My review of Econo Lodge Maingate Resort Anonymous, Marietta, OH, 2005-07-08 I did not check in, I went to another hotel. We arrived a little early, they did not have my reservation ready and when i did get there later i waited almost 1 hour in line. I was charged a full night although I felt very disappointed in the choice I know I made. Score 4 out of 5 family friendly Greg, 2005-07-01 family friendly as there was lots of young families around. pool was a big hit with the young people. game room was also exciting but had to wait for 2nd air hockey table. (1st was broken) Score 1 out of 5 Stay away from this hotel Anonymous, 2005-06-29 This hotel left a lot to be desired. We felt it was not worth the amount we paid for it. The carpet looked dirty, no padding underneath, and I wouldn't let anyone walk on it or set baggage on it. As we were watching TV an ant fell on me! We asked for a nonsmoking room, however it had lingering odors in the room--probably in the carpet! The beds were covered with brightly colored bedspreads, however we did choose to check for bugs in the bed (none found). Our first clue should have been when we drove up to our door and it was showing red paint under the blue---everyone else had blue doors. It looked so run-down. We could hardly stay there. The walls were so thin that the neighbors next to us were heard through our walls. We heard their baby crying and it sounded like a lady was crying, and shouts were also heard. The desk clerk said that if we were dissatisfied, we should have let them know. We just thought all their rooms would be like that. Don't go there! Score 4 out of 5 Great Spot for Tourist Anonymous, 2005-06-27 This hotel is very convienent to all, and very easy to find. Score 1 out of 5 very unfriendly, dirty Anonymous, 2005-06-16 i didn't like it at all |
