Cheap Miami hotels: Budget glam near SoBe nightlife

By Maria Mora

Miami’s nightclub scene and upscale shopping districts are no doubt legendary, but even in these bottle service and label-conscious parts, it’s still surprisingly easy to find cheap Miami hotels. Unlike many cheap Florida hotels, Miami hotels stand out from chains and typical rest area hotels near attractions. Thanks to cheap Miami flights, there’s no excuse not to book a Florida vacation at one of these favorites:

Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort
This affordable hotel is located directly on the beautiful shores of Miami Beach. Rooms start at around an unbelievable $100 a night, which gives you plenty of extra cash to rent a luxurious cabana on the beach. This is one of the best cheap Miami hotels for beach lovers.

Carlton Hotel
This boutique property was built in 1938. One of the most classic examples of art deco architecture on South Beach, it’s also one of the best cheap Florida hotels in the state. Stay in one of the stylish guest rooms while you indulge in South Beach’s vibrant nightlife scene. Don’t forget to walk across the street to snap a picture of the beautiful exterior.

Princess Ann Hotel
This family-owned and operated hotel in the heart of South Beach has old warm charm and a bed and breakfast feel. Despite being a small property, it offers 24-hour desk service and daily housekeeping. The rooms are simple but charming — and you can’t beat the price.

President Hotel
It’s hard to believe that prices are so low at this recently renovated cheap Miami hotel. The on-site piano bar and romantic garden pool make this property especially appealing for weekend getaways on the cheap.

Cavalier Hotel
Art Deco right on the beach is incredibly affordable at this cheap Florida hotel. Originally built in 1936, this restored property offers budget-friendly fun right on legendary Ocean Drive. Get a front row view as South Beach comes alive at night.
