This summer, my brother and his wife are going on a Europe vacation for their honeymoon. They’ve asked me and my husband to join them for a long weekend in Rome, and we couldn’t be more excited — we haven’t been there since 2004 and can’t wait to return! We’re considering the best of cheap Rome hotels, and we’ve narrowed it down to three budget-friendly hotels, all of which come with great reviews and ratings.
- Trilussa Palace Congress & Spa
- Raganelli Hotel
- Hotel American Palace
Trilussa Palace Congress & Spa
At just under $300 a night, this Rome hotel almost breaks our budget. But it’s hard to resist the amenities and sumptuous Louis XVI décor. The top amenities include high speed Internet, a fitness center for my husband to keep up with his gym routine, and a romantic rooftop restaurant.
Hotel American Palace
At less than $100 a night, the price is right at this cheap hotel. It’s located close to a grocery store, though not within walking distance of the city center. The good news is the train systems are friendly and easy to use. And I don’t mind taking public transportation into the city if it means saving money with sweet Rome hotels like the Hotel American Palace .
Raganelli Hotel
Thanks to friendly staff and management on site, this cheap Rome hotel draws many repeat travelers. I’m attracted to the complimentary breakfast, location near Vatican City, and the rooftop garden. With a Turkish bath included in the budget-friendly rates, this may end up being our choice when we book our Europe vacation.
