One of the hardest parts about planning a cheap Mexico vacation for the whole family is sifting through the cheap to find the best values. Look no further than Mazatlan for a fun yet affordable vacation with plenty of great summer deals available right now.

Located along Mexico’s Gold Coast, Mazatlan is known as the “Pearl of the Pacific.” Adults and kids enjoy visiting the beautiful beach on Stone Island, which has horseback riding, snorkeling and water sports, and the aquarium that houses an impressive display of marine life. Cheap Caribbean vacation: Candy for everyone in Jamaica

I love Jamaica because it embodies what most people envision to be the perfect Caribbean vacation: soaking in the sun on a beautiful beach, sipping a tropical fruit drink, and getting lost in the omnipresent reggae riffs. What’s also great about Jamaica is that its the perfectly cheap Caribbean vacation — accessible to just about anyone on any budget, not just the rich and famous.

My formula for a fantastic Jamaican getaway starts with a solid hotel.  I highly recommend the all inclusive Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort in Montego Bay. It has beautifully renovated public areas, a perfect location, clean, comfy rooms, and all the food and drink you can consume — all included!  However, you will have to venture across the street at least once during your trip for lunch at Scotchies, arguably the best jerk food in all of Jamaica. I recommend the ¼ pound chicken, festival (fried dough), and a bottle of Red Stripe to wash it all down. Yum! And it all costs less than $5 per person.

Family beach vacation: Pleasant suprises at Daytona Beach

I moved to Florida from Brazil 13 years ago and I’m happy to say I’m still discovering the many great beaches on Florida’s East Coast. Recently, I visited Daytona Beach with my family and found it had changed a great deal. My perception had always been that Daytona was more of a “Spring Break Beach” rather than a family destination. After our visit, I can honestly say that Daytona Beach is a great place for a family vacation.

We were very surprised by the overall laid-back feel of Daytona. We’ve been to South Beach, which is a fantastic beach destination, just not the right fit for us and our children. But Daytona Beach was perfect. Let’s start with the price: we stayed in a three-star property, and the cost was about half of what we’d pay at other Florida hotels during the same time of year.

Like many people who live in Colorado, I came here with a plan to spend a year “checking it out.” Nine years later and I’ve met my wife, had 3 children, bought a home — all but cementing that I’m here to stay.  What’s kept me here all these years?  It’s definitely got something to do with Colorado’s extraordinary outdoor activities, and I’m not just talking about our world-class skiing: From its mountains to its rivers, Colorado summers are quite amazing, too, with beautiful dry weather and outdoor activities galore. If you’re looking for a cheap and active summer vacation, Colorado has it all — and for a lot less.
