Sports fans rejoice! American Airlines is offering a cheap Boston flight sale just in time for the biggest sports weekend of the year — Patriots’ Day weekend. Celebrated on the third Monday in April, Patriots’ Day commemorates the beginning of the American Revolution, but to Bostonians, it also marks one of the most highly anticipated sporting weekends of the year. Every Patriots’ Day, thousands of people from around the globe flock to Boston to participate in the oldest annual marathon. This 26.2-mile run is prefaced by a weekend of home games for the Boston Red Sox, and if all goes well, playoffs for the Celtics and Bruins.
