Gas prices got you down? Let the wind take you for a ride instead on your Boston vacation.

On Saturday, May 24, the Boston Sailing Center is offering free sailboat rides along Boston’s historic waterfront during a special open house.

It’s open to all — first-time sailors of all ages and more
experienced skippers. ‘Round-the-harbor sailing trips will be conducted
by Center members and staff aboard boats ranging in length from 23 to
40 feet. Teaching staff will be available to answer questions about the
Center’s programs and sailing in local waters. If that’s not enough to
get you down there, the free refreshments might!

Saturday May 24, 2008; 1:00pm -5:00pm

Cheap cruises can be great weekend getaways

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

Cruiseblog
Looking for an easy weekend getaway? Cheap cruises are the way to go!

In fact, weekend cruises offer all the activities and amenities of cruising in just a three- or four-night trip.

The Carnival Sensation has a cheap cruise to the Bahamas. The three-night cruise offers plenty to do — from lounging by one of the two pools, to relaxing at the Touch of Class piano bar. Staterooms start at $209 for October sailings, and you can get an up to 3-category upgrade when you book with CheapTickets.

Or take the Carnival Elation from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas. Staterooms on this four-night cruise start at less than $500 for June sailings. That includes food from room service, as much as you can eat at the sushi bar, and live entertainment from Broadway shows to comedy.

You can find cheap cruises to the Caribbean or Mexico for three nights or more. Getting away is easy: Just schedule a long weekend and book your weekend cruise now!
