In a southern city with northern attitude service. They seemed put out all the time until Iwas leaving then they seemed they ... really wanted me to come back.

This hotel is VERY nice, beautifully/thoughtfully decorated and CLEAN rooms. It has more of a bed & breakfast feel than a ... commercial hotel. Although they advertise that it is close to the nightlife, the hotel manager seemed disapproving of guests coming/going late in the evening. 12:00am-1:00am. The old in-window air conditioning was a bit loud but effective. The bed was uncomfortable, did not sleep well, too hard.

There is not much "nightlife" near this hotel, it is quite a walk. Although it is a beautiful place to stroll and enjoy the scenery. Plenty of places to eat.

Very comfy St Pete hotel

I went to St Pete for a weekend get a way. The Grayl Hotel was a fine one nite stop. Plenty of restaurants around, and my ... favorite was having the pier very close by. I ate dinner at the Columbia restaurant on the pier{very good dinner} and I walked to the pier Sunday morning as the sun was rising and the morning temperature was excellent.

The pier, and all the happenings around it, make for a nice one day visit.

Romantic getaway

Grayls is a small Hotel in a great location across from the Bay. The staff is helpful and friendly. Restaurants, shops, Art ... galleries and museums are in easy walking distance. We had a wonderful time exploring the area.
