This is truly the most amazing place to vacation. The weather is perfect, the staff is incredible and the view and ... accommodations are unmatched! Las Brisas is the perfect romantic getaway. With your own private pool overlooking the ocean and bay and incredibly wonderful staff, Las Brisas goes above and beyond what any other resort does. We couldn't recommend this beautiful place more.

It was a great hotel, very fun. The rooms with private pools overlooking the downtown area were very cool. Lots of neat ... places at the resort to explore in the Jeeps. Excellent service by picking up the phone. A little far from the action, but many nice restaurants and Disco's close by, and the view more than makes up for the short cab-ride into town.

Check out the beachside restaurants downtown for great, local food, at a good price.

Our Great Getaway

The purpose of our trip was rest and relaxation. The hotel was great from the moment we arrived until we left. The ... restaurant Bellavista was unbelievable. The service was awesome and the food was good. The atmospheere was out of this world. It was like the waiters were reading our mind. We stayed in a private casita and private it was. This is the first vacation that we relaxed. I would definitly reccommend this hotel and will visit again.

So Relaxing!
Kitty May 17, 2009
The hotel is wonderful, you can have your own private pool, and the beach club is awesome too! Very relaxing, no hurry to do ... anything, and the service was outstanding! The people were so nice and friendly, always smiling! Many of the employees have been there for years and years, you can tell it's a well run establishment that hires great people. The bay is beautiful, we had a wonderful view from our balcony. You can see parrots flying around, and though we didn't see any, I know there are iguana's as well. The bats come out every night and fly around, you can watch them from the sunset bar. We didn't go into town, there was no reason to leave the hotel, everything was there! The Belle Vista restaurant was the best experience, I've never had service like that before, and to sit and look out over Acapulco Bay all lit up was wonderful. We will be going again!

SHEAR DELIGHT
Alihensa May 17, 2009
One FANTASTIC vacation! The serenity and privacy of our own pool coupled with the option of the gorgeous beach club made for ... one of the most relaxing vacations ever. The service is unbelievably friendly and prompt. And that Brisas Button is MAGIC - anything you desire is provided with one touch of the button! The facilities are extremely clean and the flora only adds to the ambience... Oh, and again, the staff is the friendliest and most accomodating we've yet to encounter. This was our second stay at Las Brisas Acapulco, and it definitely will NOT be the last! Try it - it is addicting...

Good and bad
U&A Apr 22, 2009
My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon at Las Brisas, and for the most part enjoyed our stay. The casitas are very nice ... and private and the drivers are very courteous. However when we had a problem with a 'peeping Tom' that was an employee, the front desk passed it off with nothing more than an apology. La Concha beach club is lovely, however the restaurant is pricey and if it is not busy then the service is great. When the cruise ship crowds arrive, the service suffers greatly. The pools are very clean as is the hotel and grounds. The location is good for a honeymoon as it is very private. But, if you like to see other things beside the hotel or you want to walk on a sandy beach you have to travel about 20 min to the center part of town by taxi. The taxi that are located directly across from the hotel are very nice and reliable and rather expensive.
Traveler type: Couples
If you are on a budget... Pick up some snacks at the local grocery because everything in the hotel is overpriced. Also, something that no one else mentioned is that you do not tip on the property as they simple charge all tips to you card and you have no choice in how much you give or don't give.

This was the second trip to Las Brisas hotel.Everything about this hotel is perfect. We loved every minute. We never wanted ... to leave. The service is unbelievable. The view from our room was fantastic. It is very peaceful and relaxing. Buy tickets for the sunset cruise at the dock, much cheaper than at the hotel. The only bad thing we experienced was at the airport on the way home, very slow and unorganized.

Las Brisas is an experience, and a wonderful one at that! The service is fantastic, and the views are breath taking. If you ... need anything the staff is friendly and more than willing to accomodate your every whim. The rooms were VERY clean. Nothing too frilly, but the view and the private pool make it luxurious! We went for our honeymoon and cannot wait for another trip back!

Relaxing, private and what a view!
We're Not Campers Mar 3, 2009
Las Brisas Acapulco came very close to a five-star experience. It was the perfect location for a mid-winter, relaxing ... getaway. Our casita (#463) was lovely, with a full western exposure that maximized the sun on the terrace and pool. Our 'plunge' pool far exceeded expectations and was nearly 15 x 30. Our goal was to 'get away', bake in the sun and relax. After spending one day at their private beach club, we never left our casita again...there was simply no need. The food that we had delivered was excellent (although a bit slow to arrive, on occasion) and, despite some comments here about cost, was very fairly priced for a hotel of this caliber. The staff was delightful--from the front desk staff to the housekeeper and pool-boy who put fresh hibiscus in the pool every day. A few minor issues (a slow check-in, a missed breakfast, a 2 hour wait for dinner to be delivered on one evening, a missed wine delivery) were all dealt with promptly and appropriately--but were not typical of our experience with at other members of the Leading Hotels of the World--and, therefore, kept us from giving Las Brisas a 5-star rating. We'd go back in a heartbeat...if only to savor the sunsets!

Stunning Location and Service
Stephen Aug 12, 2008
Las Brisas is like a cashmere sweater...luxuriously comfortable and classic. There are newer hotels in the area but this one ... has the charm and character of a tastefully unique property with personality and a fabled history. And while it is an older property, don't worry about its condition. Like beautiful actresses of a certain age, it has had a nip and tuck here and there where needed so the place looks and runs beautifully. Our room had been completely renovated and all of the grounds looked in perfect shape. In fact, the entire property is VERY well maintained. My only minor complaint is that the fleet of jeeps that take you everywhere on the property run on what smells like leaded fuel. If the pink hotel wanted to turn green, it should consider converting those polluters to an electric fleet. In terms of decor, if you can look past the pink accents everywhere, the style is understated and tastefully uses local materials like driftwood, rock and white stucco. The views of the bay are spectacular from the higher rooms (I was in #456). In the afternoons and evenings, I couldn't help but walk numerous times out of my bedroom, past my private pool and to the edge of the balcony where all of Acapulco was spread out beneath me. I felt like a rock star or royalty and the staff do their best to make you feel that way, too. The beach club is a short drive and like the hotel, has the character of a private club on the Mediterranean. There really isn't a beach there but you don't miss it because of the pools--including one that has direct access into the bay if you swim under an arch. The food there was excellent. In every way the hotel exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Acapulco!

Cab drive or bus to shopping and local restaurants in Acapulco. My wife and I took advantage of a Taxi by the hour, that took us shopping, recommended markets and great local restaurants and made the day a true pleasure.
--Dan, Portland, OR Feb 28, 2008
Don't spend too much time in town. Acapulco is not a great city. The room service was very good and reasonably priced. Dinner for 2 was about $55 with our own wine. Bring wine from home. It is very hard to find good wine at a reasonable price, in Mexico.
--Jeff, Cincinnati, OH Feb 12, 2008
The beach club has an outstanding cafe and saltwater tide pools. The swim up bar in the freshwater pool is great.
--Greg, Seattle, WA Feb 2, 2008
Across the street there are some Five Star restaurants. We recommend, Bikal, Casa Nova and Becco. These are about a $6.00(each way) cab ride (no tipping). We went to Downtown one time, to buy bottled water and have dinner. Downtown, is, well, deveoped, so that there is now a Wal-Mart and every American fast food place. Not too nice, for us.
